Jean Marie Allen

Jean “Jeanie” Marie Allen, 75, of Montezuma, Iowa, formerly of Grinnell and Marshalltown, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Jean Marie Allen was born August 12, 1947 in Marshalltown to Wallace and Shirley (Rhoades) Allen. She grew up in Marshalltown and in her younger years, she loved riding bicycles, spending time with her grandmother and going for walks with her mother. She worked at Mid-Iowa Community Workshop. In her free time, Jeanie enjoyed coloring, playing Bingo and listening to Elvis Presley.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Linda (Patrick) Wilson of Ankeny, IA and her four nieces and nephews.

In eternal life, she is reunited with mother and stepfather, Shirley and Ernest Ray Barker; her birthfather, Wallace George Allen; brothers: Ronald D. Allen and Gerald D. Allen; and nephew, Jon Matthew Wilson.
