Jeannette Elaine Phillips

Jeannette Elaine Phillips, 66, of Marshalltown passed away in her sleep Friday, February 1, 2020, in Marshalltown. Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held February 8, 2020, from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A memorial fund for Jeannette is being established. Jeannette was born on May 29, 1953 in Benton, Illinois to Louis and Martha Louise (Nangle) Phillips. At an early age, she grew up and attended school in Carpentersville, Illinois. After moving to Marshalltown, Jeannette was employed as a certified nurse’s aide at Grandview Heights Care Center. She also worked in the service industry at various Marshalltown establishments and was an over-the-road truck driver. She loved traveling but what she loved most was her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Anita (Seth) Ringgenberg and James (Tauri) Phillips; her brothers: Ronnie and Doug Phillips; her sisters: Linda Hartman, Debbie Lau and Jackie Alman; her step brothers: Donnie, Tom and Bob Gorrell; her grandchildren: Brady and Ian Black, Madeline, Bella, Samantha and Louis Phillips. Preceding her in death are her parents, her step mother, Patricia Phillips and her brothers, Rannie Phillips and Bill Gorrell.
