Jeannine "Jeannie" Alice Schneider

Jeannine “Jeannie” Schneider, 89, of Toledo, passed away early Saturday morning, February 15, 2020, at Grandview Heights Rehab & Healthcare in Marshalltown. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Following a luncheon at the funeral home, burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established. Jeannine Alice Schneider was born on August 20, 1930 in Marshalltown, the daughter of Marion and Della (Savage) Harris. She grew up in Marshalltown and graduated from the Marshalltown High School. In 1950, she was united in marriage to Warner Quick, who later passed away in 1962.  In 1969, she married Jerry Schneider who also later passed away. Jeannie retired from the Tama County Auditor’s Office after 25 years of faithful public service. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. Jeannie dearly loved family gatherings, gardening, cooking and telling jokes. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debra Sawtelle; her stepchildren, Julie Hinegardner and Mark Schneider; her grandchildren: Michael Quick, Andy Quick, Kameron Sawtelle, Louis Wacha and Jason Wacha, Samantha Schneider; and seven great-grandchildren. In eternal life Jeannie has been reunited with her parents and husbands, her son, Kyle Quick and granddaughter, Heather Hofer.
