Jeffrey "Jeff" Lau

Jeffrey “Jeff” Lau, of Conrad, IA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will take place at a later date. Jeffrey Dean Lau, Sr. was born July 18, 1964 to parents Steven Dean and Sandra Sue (Rowe) Lau in Marshalltown, IA.  Jeff married Debra Kay Phillips on July 7, 2001 in Gladbrook, IA.  He worked in the freight industry as a truck driver for over 30 years.  Jeff was a member of the Methodist church.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family.  He loved helping others whenever he could. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Debra Lau; his father, Steven Lau; his mother, Sandra Cakerice; his children: Thomas (Mary) Argo, April (Michael) Ackley, Jason (Robin) Argo and Crystal (Blake) Lawthers;  Santana Lau, Jeffery Lau, Jr., and Nikki Valdez; his  grandchildren: Lexi Argo, Alyssa Weeces, Jaycee Argo, Jakob Argo, Liam Argo, Kara Ackley, Britiney Ackley and Mario Miglia; great-grandchildren Yui Jo Young, Jack Blaze Miller and Leland Apollo Miller; his siblings: Tim Lau, Dahn Kennedy and Denis Monthy; his best friends, Kurt and Aubrey Cassady and numerous other family members. Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Virginia Lau and Marvin and Leona Rowe; his aunt, Linda Frericks; and an uncle, Ed Rowe.
