Jennie E. Westcott, 52, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Iowa River Hospice House with her loving family by her side. Memorial visitation for Jennie will be held from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Jennie and her family. Jennie E. Vibbard was born on June 8, 1962, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy C. and Leila A. (Draegert) Vibbard. She was raised and educated in the Marshalltown school district graduating from Marshalltown High School in 1981. Jennie was united in marriage to Richard A. Westcott on June 8, in Marshalltown. She spent most of her working years as a homemaker taking wonderful care of their home. Jennie had a passion for knitting, yard work, crafts, dogs, outdoors her rose bushes and family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 9 years Richard Westcott; children: Joe Vibbard, Alex (Alyssa) Vibbard, Devin Garretson and Harley Garretson; father: Leroy Vibbard; siblings: Dennis L. Vibbard and Jeffrey A. (Robin) Vibbard; also several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Leila Vibbard; one sister: Mary Sue Welch and one nephew: William L. Weston.
