Jermaine Spencer 40, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully at Unity Point Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Services for Jermaine will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to services. Memorials in Jermaine’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. Jermaine Claude Spencer was born December 9, 1983 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Jermaine was the middle of four children born to Craig Spencer Sr. and Roxanne Dameron (Fisher) Jermaine was raised alongside two older brothers from a previous marriage of Craig Spencer Sr and they were all raised together. Jermaine attended school in Marshalltown and later graduated from Marshalltown High School in the Class of 2003. Later in life, Jermaine had two children, Aysa and Ayla with Vana Brown. He loved his daughters with all his heart. In his free time, Jermaine enjoyed taking walks around Riverside Cemetery and going to feed the ducks, watching movies, listening to music and riding in the car. He was a gentle soul and loved to just be around his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Aysa and Ayla Spencer; his siblings, Craig Spencer Jr., Jennifer Fisher, Tara Spencer and Justin (Maria) Spencer; his aunts and uncles, Lloyd (Deb) Fisher and Ramona Verdinez; alongside numerous other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Craig Spencer Sr. and Roxanne Dameron; his grandparents, Marie and Ruben Morgan and Scott and Daisy Spencer; his brother, Cory Spencer; Aunt Corrine Fisher and other aunts and uncles; nephew, Dedrikk Fisher; and Sergio Verdinez.
