Jerry Winters, 78, of Marshalltown, died in the comfort of his home on Thursday afternoon, December 6, with his loving family at his side.Honoring his wishes, no services or visitation is planned. Ph. 641-844-1234.Born on April 5, 1934, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Ray and Marcenia (Brown) Winters. He graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 1952.On February 5, 1955, he was united in marriage to Ardis Schaper in Marshalltown. They made Marshalltown their home all of their married lives where he was employed at Lennox over 25 years and later was a building contractor.Surviving are his wife Ardis, two daughters: Jana (Allen) Loschky of Bartlett, TN, Julie Winters of Marshalltown; four grandchildren: Mandi, Jennifer, Grant and Kellen, four great-grandchildren and his sister Phyllis Yocum.In death, he rejoined his parents, five sisters and one brother.
