Jesse Vargas

Jesse Vargas, 16, of Marshalltown, died early Monday morning, November 3rd, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after a long illness. His death came peacefully at 4:27 a.m. with his mother at his side.A public memorial gathering to celebrate Jesses life will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Private interment rites. There will be no visitation prior to the gathering. Memorials may be directed to his family. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Jesse and his family. Ph 641-844-1234.Born on March 13th, 1992, in Hanford, California, he was the son of Clovie Allgood and Marcellino Vargas. He moved to Webster City where he worked at Hy-Vee and attended church. Most recently, he moved to Marshalltown. Jesse was a junior at EXCEL School and treasured his family and friends. Left to mourn his passing at such a young age are his mother Clovie Lopez of Marshalltown, step-father Ernesto Lopez of Marshalltown, father Marcellino in California, sister Donna Hinojosa, brothers Joseph and Ashley Lopez all of Marshalltown and sister Aurora Vargas and brother Marcellino Vargas, Jr. in California, as well as many friends.
