Jim K. Kaisand

James K. Kaisand, 64, of Union, died early Saturday morning, June 14th, at the MMSC. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18th, at the Union Community Church with Pastor Rick Schill officiating. He will be laid to rest in the private service in the Union Cemetery. There will be no visitation. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. A memorial fund is being established. Born on December 5th, 1943, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Harry and Gertrude (Westerfield) Kaisand. He graduated from the Union-Whitten High Schools Class of 1962. Jim farmed in the Union community all of his life and was united in marriage to Judy Goecke Teckenburg on December 8th, 1996. He enjoyed golfing, farming, the Union community, the outdoors and his family. Left to cherish his memory are Judy, his loving wife of 11 years, son Dr. Jeff (Heidi) Kaisand of Union and their children Henry, Virginia and Goldie, daughter-in-law Rebecca and her children Walker and Taryn, sisters: Joyce (Bill) Wagoner of Muncie, Indiana and Karen (Larry) Breeding of Ankeny, brother Lenny (Elana) Kaisandof Schenectady,New York, step-daughters: Kimberly (Mark) Shutt of Marshalltown and their children Zachary, Blake and Emily and Kristin Teckenburg of Des Moines. In death he has rejoined his parents and son, Jared.
