Jimmy Hulin, 75, of Marshalltown Iowa passed away on Saturday, December 10th, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 14th, 2016, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or Elim Lutheran Church, both in Marshalltown. He attended school in the Gilman Community School district graduating with the class of 1959. Jimmy served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserves. On September 28, 1963, Jimmy was united in marriage to Charlene Kay Heng at the Dunbar-Strand Lutheran Church and have made their home in rural Marshalltown. Jim had been a welder and owned his own business in Dillon for many years. He had been a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Jimmy was a practical joker and many of his jokes involved Larissa. His stoic and gentle manner will be missed by friends and family. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Charlene, and his children, Amy (Curtis) Hyder, Craig (Jennifer) Hulin and Michael (Tricia) Hulin, grandchildren, Wheeler (Tasia) Hulin, Racer (Kelli) Hulin, Alex Hulin and Ethan Hulin, great grandchildren, Triscety, Whylee, and Kaisley Hulin, siblings, Norm Hulin, Sharon McCubbin and Doug Hulin. In death Jimmy rejoins his parents, Lauder and Lola, and siblings Marlys, Larry, Ronald, Dennis and Mark.
