Joan Witt 86 of Clemons, Iowa passed away on Monday, July 11 2016, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa, surround by her loving family. There will be no services at this time. Matheson was born on November 6, 1929, in Los Angeles, California; she was the daughter of Alexander and Grace (Ingeldue) Matheson. She attended School in the South Gate California School District and graduated with the class of 1948, then attended the local Jr. College. On July 1, 1950, in South Gate, California Joan was united in marriage to Richard G. Witt. Joan and Richard moved to Clemons, Iowa to the family Farm and had lived on the farm for 58 years. She was a homemaker and loved her family and enjoyed time with them, she enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking. Left to cherish Joans memory is her husband of 66 years, Richard, children, Mark (Eileen) Witt of St Anthony, Iowa and Jean (Stanley) Borton of Clemons, Iowa, grandchildren Toni (Matt) Kielly, Amanda (Kolby) Breer, Angela Witt, Aaron Borton, Logan Witt and Alicia Borton, and 5 great-grandchildren.
