Joash “JC” Wilkins, age 79 of Premier Estates and formerly of Marshalltown, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Per family wishes, cremation rites have taken place. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. JC will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown.

Joash C. Wilkins was born on August 31, 1945, the 10th of 11 children to Virgil and Herma (Pendleton) Wilkins, in Palestine, Arkansas. The family moved to Marshalltown when JC was in high school. He attended Marshalltown High School.

JC worked some odd jobs over his life, before he moved to the Marshall County Home. He enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball. His favorite team was the Chicago Bulls.

JC was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Herma; 5 of his brothers; and 3 of his sisters. He is survived by his brother, Cornelius Wilkins of Marshalltown; his sister, Yvonne (Lincoln) Woods of Cleveland, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
