Joel Patrick Mckeag

Joel Patrick McKeag, 65, of Marshalltown, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Unity Point Health – Marshalltown. Care for Joel has been entrusted to the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. At this time, cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions may be directed to his family for later designation. Joel was born on January 12, 1956 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Gordon and Ardene (Fleming) McKeag. He graduated from the Marshalltown High School. Joel enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Utah, Alaska and overseas, spending more than 17 years of service. Survivors include his sons, Kirk McKeag of Marshalltown IA and Ryan McKeag in Utah; his mother, Ardene McKeag (98) of Marshalltown;; his siblings: Dianne (Mrs. Roger) Reeves of Albion, IA, Luane (Mrs. Ron) Bingaman of Independence, Missouri and Bruce D. McKeag of Marshalltown; and his grandson, Connor McKeag, the son of Kirk.He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon G. McKeag in 1996.
