John L. Bobince died March 25, 2011, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, following a long battle with Agent Orange cancer. He was the son of Vina (McKinney) and John J. Bobince, born on October 16, 1948, in Phoenix, Arizona. John attended Green Mountain Independent School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter mechanic. During that time, he received the Army Commendation medal, the Vietnam Service medal, the National Defense medal and the Vietnam Campaign medals. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and worked as a roofing specialist for over 35 years. He was married to Jalene Primus on August 19, 1967, in Winterhaven, California, and they were later divorced. He is survived by his loving ex-wife, son Joseph Wayne Bobince, daughter Joanna Marie Primus, three brothers- Mike of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Bob Bobince and Melvin Ferguson both of Phoenix and one sister Barbara (Gene) Groves of Sunrise Beach, MO.
