John Vincent Davis

John Vincent Davis, 73, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded and services are not scheduled at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for John and his family. John Davis was born on January 20, 1944 in Jackson, Mississippi to William and Heather Stephens Davis. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1968 until 1972. John enjoyed fishing, listening to loud music, working on computers and electronics and Ham radios. He was also a member of the Wainwright Society. John is survived by his children: Susan Dudley of Marshalltown, Michelle (Tommy) Burton of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Cynthia Davis of Ridgeland, Mississippi and Angela Davis of Marshalltown. Grandchildren: Michael Dalgarn, Jared Dalgarn, Brittany Arnold, Arilyn Gilbert, Johnny Gilbert, Dakota King, Logan Burchfield, Brandon Burchfield and Breanna Burchfield. John is preceded in death by his wife Linda Davis and parents William and Heather.
