John Harris Edwinson

John Harris Edwinson (68) passed away on December 12th, 2015, in Marshalltown, Iowa. No services are planned at this time. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for John and his family. John Edwinson was born on July 24th, 1947, to Donald and Hazel (Wood) Edwinson at the St. Thomas Hospital in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was educated in the Le Grand community school district. Following his graduation, John enlisted in the United States Army, serving for 2 years during the Vietnam conflict. Eventually after returning home, John and Bonnie Hungate were united in marriage. Together, they made their home in Marshalltown. After 25 years together, they divorced. John was an employee of Fisher Controls for many years. He was also a member of the local UAW 893. John enjoyed playing pepper, cribbage, and having breakfast with his friends at OJs and every once in a while at the Sunrise Caf in Le Grand. Left to cherish his memory is his sister; Linn Ferguson, nephew, Don Ferguson, sister-in-law; Judy (Neal Edwinson and Lori Fricke) Edwinson. In death, John rejoins his parents; Donald and Hazel, Brothers; Mike and Frank Edwinson.
