John "Jonboy" Richard Harvey

John Richard Harvey, 64, of St. Anthony, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home. Memorial services for John “Jonboy” Harvey will be on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. John Harvey was born on September 9, 1956 to Warren and Mary Wholey Harvey. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1974 and then went on to Marshalltown Community College to receive a degree in automotive mechanics. John was united in marriage to Tracey Ohnesorge at Meskwaki Casino in November of 2017. They had been together since September of 2000. John was employed with Fisher Controls for 13 years as a Lead Inspector. He also had previously worked at Jensen Ford as an auto mechanic. John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on hotrods and was a fantastic tattoo artist. He also enjoyed going to car shows and swap meets. Above all else, John enjoyed visits with his neighbors and cherished the time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his wife, Tracey. Children: Nick, Savanha, Darlene, Spencer and Bryant. Grandchildren: Kelan, A.J., Jaxon and Kynnyk. Siblings: Vickie, Jacque, Wendy, Ken, Tim and Chellie as well as many loved nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mary and siblings: Matt, Michael, David and Elizabeth.
