John McFadden Jr., 65, of Camden, Maine, passed away on February 21, 2013, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial Services are planned for John on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel in Marshalltown, Iowa. John McFadden Jr. was born on July 21, 1947, in Camden, Maine, the son of John McFadden Sr. and Olive (Lamb-Ingerham) McFadden. He graduated from Dowling High School in Des Moines, Iowa. After High School, John honorably served our country in Vietnam while in the Air Force and the National Guard. When John got back from the war he went to college at AIB in Des Moines, Iowa. He had a true talent for poetry. John is survived by his children: John (David) McFadden, Shannon (Jamie) Snodgrass, and Michael (Heather) McFadden; his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Justice, Ashley, Griffin; Siblings: Harold (Lee) McFadden, Dan (Lourie) McFadden, Lorrain (John) Risley, Priscilla (Don) Bognanno, Sara Smarts, Mary Pohren, Kerry Gilson and Michaela (Donavon) York.
