John Zapf, 61, of the Iowa Veterans Home, formerly of Littleport , Iowa, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. There will be no local services. John Jeffrey Zapf was born on February 20, 1956, in Manchester, Iowa; he was the son of Januarius and Una (Lenhart) Zapf. He attended school in the area of his birth graduating with the class of 1975. John served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp from 1975 until 1979.
