Jody Rosenbalm

Jolene “Jody” Rosenbalm, 64, of Rhodes, Iowa, passed away on the evening of December 7, 2023 at the Iowa River Hospice Home with her family by her side.

A celebration of life for Jody will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 followed by a time of sharing. Memorials in Jody’s name may be directed to her family for a later designation. Jolene Ann (Stolzman)Rosenbalm was born September 26, 1959 in Marshalltown, Iowa to parents Harry and Bernadine (Kopel) Stolzman. Jody was the youngest of five children and grew up in Haverhill, Iowa and attended school with SEMCO later graduating with the class of 1978. She furthered her education and received her Associates of Arts Degree from Marshalltown Community College.

In the summer of 2003, Jody was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Rosenbalm. From this union she gained three children along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren over the following years. Jody worked for Walmart for 38 years where she held just about every position. She moved along where the company had sent her in the store. In her free time, she was an avid reader, enjoyed playing computer games, painting pictures, and loved to go to the Iowa State Fair and Goodguys Car Show with Bob.

Jody is survived by her husband of 21 years, Bob Rosenbalm; her children, Robert Rosenbalm, Betty Rosenbalm, and Sherry Pinegar; her grandchildren, Colton, Gracie, Shad, Cherokee, Celene, Dane, Grace, McKenzie, and Brody; her seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Joyce (Melvin) Stalzer; Lyle (Jaclyn) Stolzman, and Jean (Tom) Ronnfeldt; alongside numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Bernadine Stolzman; her brother, William “Bill” Stolzman; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Stolzman; and her mother-in-law, Evelyn Rosenbalm.
