Jon Aman, 55, formerly of Marshalltown, most recently of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls community, died Sunday night, October 19th, at the Covenant Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 22, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Karen Cluts of the Elim Lutheran Church officatiing. He will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph 641-844-1234. Born on May 10th, 1953, in Eldora, Iowa, he was the son of Harvey and Olive (Wolski) Aman. He received his education in many areas including Marshalltown and graduated from the Marshalltown Community College. While there, he assisted in computer technology and did tutoring. He later worked for the L.E. Meyers Company. Jon had attended Elim Lutheran Church and served our country honorably in the United States Army until back problems forced his retirement. Left to celebrate his life are his mother, Olive, of Grandview Heights in Marshalltown, three sisters and two brothers: Monte Aman (Shane Spafford) of Marshalltown, Gerald (Diane) Aman of Finlayson, MN, LaDonna (Curtis) Lee of Carrington, ND, JoAnne (William) Bissell of Little Rock, Arkansas, ElDora (Kenneth) Perry of Marshalltown,Jon's very special friend, Virginia Stoen,as well as several nieces and nephews. In death he has rejoined his father, nephews Rick Perry, Steven Lee and Jon Dean Bissell and niece Linda Lee.
