Jose Angel Ibarra Martinez, 68, of Marshalltown, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Visitation for Jose will be on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the family. Jose Ibarra Martinez was born on May 9, 1950 in Durango, Mexico to Bernardino Ibarra Arratia and Maria Luisa Martinez Hernandez. Jose was united in marriage to Maria A. Reyes in San Diego de Alcala in Durango, Mexico on May 3, 1971. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and doing many other things around the house. Jose would fix things that were not even broken. Jose is survived by his wife Maria; children: Jose Cruz Ibarra, Jose de la Luz Ibarra, Cristina Mancillaz, Paula Lopez Ibarra, Maria De Jesus Ibarra, Maria Ibarra and Elizabeth Ibarra. Siblings: Juan Pedro, Socorro, Gregoria, Rufina, Miguel,  Natividad, Aniceto, Benigno, Ana, Blas, Rosalio, Felicitas, Carlota and Maria de Luz. Jose is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Toribio and Luis Ibarra.
