Jose Pocasangre, 70, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center In Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014, at St Marys Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Jose Pocasangre was born in Jutiapa Cabanas, El Salvador on January 5, 1945; he was the son of Franciso Pocasangre and Amelia Martinez. On November 25, 1991, he was united in marriage to Daisy Martinez. They had lived in Marshalltown since 1995, where Jose worked at Swift Packing Plant and the Casino until his retirement. He loved Classic Cars and enjoyed his puppies, the Chihuahua. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Daisy, of Marshalltown, Iowa and his children, Maria Irma Pocasangre ,Teresa Torres, Veronica Alaya, Delmy Reyes, Douglas Pocasangre, and Rosa Amelia, 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, siblings, Cande, Vicenta, Juana and Paula. In death Jose rejoins his parents.
