Joseph Farland

Joseph John Farland, 75, of Bonney Lake, Washington (formerly of Albion, IA) passed March 3, 2012. Memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Memorials may be directed to the family. Joseph John Joey Farland was born on June 11, 1936, in Albion, IA, he was the son of Albert and Wilma (Thompson) Farland. He was united in marriage to Sally Berger on August 30, 1962. Joseph worked and the retired from the tool and die department of the Boeing plant in Washington. He was known for his musical talent (playing the guitar and singing), and enjoyed restoring classic cars and taking them to car shows. Joseph also loved fishing and most of all, his family. He is survived by his wife, Sally Farland; his children: Duane (Dena) Farland, Roberta (Alan) Savage, and Barbara Lauderdale; his siblings: Don (Margaret) Farland, JoAnn (Marvin) Thomas, Charles Farland, Norma Jean Farland, David (Linda) Farland; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Louise Kern and Albert Lee Farland.
