Joseph Goodman

Joseph Mark Goodman passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 10:30 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Oratory in Haverhill Iowa, with Father Don Czapla officiating. Joseph Mark Goodman was born on May 31, 1955 in Marshalltown, Iowa to the proud parents of Joseph and Gladys (Neuroth) Goodman. Mark attended Marshalltown School System and graduated with the class of 1973. Mark was very avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Boston Celtics, and the New York Yankees. Watching games with Mark would be an emotional ride from the thrill of victory to the agony of defeat with unique, one-time catch phrases such as Hes so smart! or "Rinky Dink!. Mark was a family man that was open to anyone that came in to his life. He was never one to judge a book by the cover. Mark would go out of his way to help anyone that asked. He was a talented musician/songwriter and loved singing and playing his harmonica and sharing his love of music with others. Left to cherish his memory are his children Garrett and Josh Goodman (Tammy Overstake - mother), grandchild Emytt Goodman (son of Josh), step-children Ryan, Brandon, and Camie (Cindy Walker - mother), Siblings Debra (Mike) Keim, Kelley (Tim) Brennecke, Mike (Marchelle) Goodman, and brother-in-law Rob Harrison, his mother Gladys, many nieces and nephews, and close friends. Mark is preceded in death by his father Joseph and sister Chris.
