Joyce Elaine (Don) Clingerman, age 85, former Marshalltown area resident, passed away Saturday night, May 23rd, in Sun City, Arizona, where she has resided for a number of years.           No local services will be held at this time. One of Joyce’s favorite songs was Anne Murray’s “Could I Have This Dance.”  She is now dancing in heaven’s ballroom with so many that have gone on before.           Born on August 17th, 1934, in Fairmont, MN, she was the daughter of Harry and Helen (Givler) Evanson. She received her education in the area of her birth and later earning her nursing degree. She practiced in California, Mason City and Minnesota.           On September 4th, 1955, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Don Clingerman, in Las Vegas. It was love at first sight and for a lifetime. Their marriage of nearly 65 years was blessed with three beautiful daughters and it all started with dating just two weeks! The couple made their home in Mason City, Marshalltown and Sun City. She enjoyed playing cards, bean bags, mini golf, and puzzles. Making her famous mocha cake for holiday was a highlight to her family. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Marshalltown and Silver Crafts Creative Clubs in Arizona. Joyce enjoyed keeping busy with family and friends and had four major roles in her life- wife, mother, homemaker and nurse- all which she did very well.           She will be greatly missed by Don, her loving husband of 64 years; three daughters- Laurie Hausafus, Patricia Headrick and Brenda Reeves; her grandchildren Nicholas Harvey, Austin and Justin Daneshmand, Aaron Headrick and Brandon Sanchez; great-grandchildren Gianna, Alexis, Tristin and Christopher and brother Dwayne Evanson. Also surviving is her best friend, Doris Frese.           In death, Joyce rejoined her parents and a sister.
