Born on April 25th, 1938, in Marshalltown, she was one of eight children born to George and Josephine (Cutler) Williams. She was a proud graduate of the Marshalltown High School’s Class of 1956. Judith hosted her class every other month and even built her house around having these cherished events. She later pursued her career in nursing at the Methodist-Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, MN. Even though she was of humble nature and never spoke of her accomplishments, it is fitting to give her credit for what she did to gain education for the patients and families she was entrusted with. She attended Iowa State University and nine other institutes of higher learning pursuing knowledge. She taught nursing at many levels and authored numerous articles on the profession. Judith was active in her career at Villa del Sol, Iowa River Hospice and several places along the east coast and concluded being certified as a Nurse Practitioner. With a desire to learn and help others, she thrived being a member of the Marshall County Historical Society, Central Iowa Genealogical Society, Kiwanis, Iowa Valley Creative Retirement and served on the boards of Iowa River Hospice and Riverside Cemetery amongst others. Soon after college, she was instrumental in starting the candy striper program at the hospital. Judith was an eclectic collector, reminisced and gave 110% to the causes that dwelled in her heart. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, nurse, sister and friend. Her goal in life was to care for others and make them comfortable- which she achieved. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kristi Cameron of Marshalltown and Daniel (Kathleen) Cameron of Philadelphia, PA; her grandchildren and families- Keith, Sophie and Emma Cameron all of Philadelphia and Dani Cameron (fiancé Garrett Goodman) of Marshalltown, Hannah Cameron of Marshalltown and her children Aashlyn, Dayton and Shay, and “adopted” grandson Isaiah Villarreal also of Marshalltown. Also surviving are her siblings: Linda (James) York, Helen (Dale) Claussen, and John (Susan) Williams all of Marshalltown and Tom (Julie) Williams of Memphis, TN;, her sister-in-law Pat Williams of Marshalltown and her fur-babies, Olivia and Marley, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In death, Judith rejoined her son, Douglas, her parents, brothers, Phillip and Paul “Punch” and sister, Cassandra.
