Judith Anne Paul, age 63 of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 8, 2024, at Iowa River Hospice House.
The funeral mass for Judy is scheduled for Monday February 12, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish- St. Mary’s Church of Marshalltown. Friends and family are also invited to attend a visitation on Sunday February 11, 2024, from 1:00 P.M.- 4:00 P.M. followed by a vigil service at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa River Hospice and St. Francis of Assisi Parish. Judy was born March 11, 1960, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of Francis “Bud” Jensen and Edith (Mullen) Jensen. Judith attended the Marshalltown Area Catholic School and later graduated from West Marshall with the class of 1978. She advanced her education at Marshalltown Community College, where she received her degree as an operating room technician. On October 2, 1982, at 2 P.M. Judy married the love of her life, Dennis Paul at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She worked as an operating room technician until 1986, when she decided to stay at home and care for her children. Judith also worked as a custodian at St. Mary’s Church for 22 years. As a very dedicated parishioner, she served on many committees at St. Mary’s Church. She was a caring person, an amazing wife, a great mother, a wonderful grandma, dedicated to raising her children, always present at their school activities, and always willing to serve others first. Judy enjoyed flower gardening, reading, baking, and above all family and faith were everything to her.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Dennis Paul; her two daughters: Rachael (Dan) Forster and Jenny (Matt) Butler; her grandchildren: Taedyn Butler, Madelyn Butler, and Gavin Butler; her brother Mike Jensen, brother-in law Howard (Jean) Paul, sister-in-law Lynn (Steve) Berry, and many nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Edith, her parents-in-law Lee and Marian Paul; her brothers: Paul, John, and Matthew Jensen, her grandson Brayden Butler and her nephews: Aaron and Michael Paul.
