Judy Rohlfsen-Sizemore, 67, of Marshalltown, died Friday, August 20, 2010, at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Immediately following services a luncheon will be held at the church. Burial will take place at the Eldora City Cemetery in Eldora, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 22, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed in Judys name to the American Cancer Society. For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com Judy was born July 4, 1943 in Eldora, Iowa the daughter of Ervin A. Pete Rohlfsen and Adeline Marion Zielske. She was raised and educated in Eldora where she graduated from the Eldora High School. Judy married Walter Dean Sizemore on July 20, 1968 in Milan, Missouri. Walter Dean was later killed in an accident. Judy was employed from November 1991 to June 2009 at Bruin Manufacturing in Marshalltown where she made many great friendships with her co-workers. Judy had a passion for helping others. She routinely volunteered at her church Redeemer Lutheran as well as the House of Compassion. Judy was always there for her family and friends. Judy enjoyed garage sales, visiting with her morning coffee group, playing cards and going on walks. She was a great cook and made the best banana bread ever. Above all Judy loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces. Judy is survived by her brother George (Cheryl) Rohlfsen of Steamboat Rock, Iowa, her sister Linda Sue (Gary) Rohlfsen-Nelson of Kasson, Minnesota, her uncle Art (Connie) Zielske of Jacksonville, Florida and her nieces Amy (Jeff) Muller of Webster City, Iowa, Julie Rohlfsen of Ames, Iowa, Cassie Nelson of Kasson, Minnesota and Nichole Rohlfsen of Ames, Iowa. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Dean Sizemore, her brother Lyle and her twin sisters in infancy Betty Ann and Barbara Jean.
