Julie Danner

Julie Danner, 51, of Colfax, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. There will be no visitation and there will be a gathering time with refreshments after the service. Memorials may be directed to the family. Cremation rights have been accorded. Julie Ann Bryant was born on March 14, 1966 in Marshalltown, Iowa; the daughter of Daniel and Sandra Sunny (Holmquist) Bryant. Julie attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District and graduated with the class of 1984 and later earned a degree in Juvenile Criminal Justice from the University of Northern Iowa. Julie was united in marriage to Randy Danner Sr. and had two children, Randy Jr. and Rene (divorced); later she married Tim Borton and had another child, Emily, (divorced). Julie grew up in Albion and also lived in Cedar Falls and the Des Moines area and most recently resided in Colfax, Iowa. Julie was currently working at Caseys in Altoona, Iowa. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and was highly competitive. She loved to travel, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her children, grandchildren and pets. Left to cherish Julies memory are her children, Randy Danner Jr. of Des Moines, Rene Danner of Colfax and Emily Borton of Des Moines; granddaughter, Jazlyn Rose Kudelka and another little one on the way; her mother, Sunny Bryant of Colo; siblings, Danielle Dilks of Altoona, Iowa and Debbie Bryant of Marshalltown, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In death Julie rejoins her father, Daniel and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
