Juliet Dequito was born on February 19, 1961 in the Philippines. She was the daughter of Constancio and Guerllerma Poa Dequito. Juliet carried with her a deep love for the Philippines, where she spent her early years surrounded by family, friends, and the rhythms of everyday life that shaped her gentle spirit. She often spoke of the precious memories she made there—moments filled with laughter, community, and the simple joys of growing up in a close-knit environment. Those memories remained a source of comfort and pride throughout her life, even after she moved across the world. On July 13, 1984 she married the love of her life Sergio Villamor Arcelo Jr. Juliet built a life defined by dedication, resilience, and quiet strength. Born in the Philippines, she began her career as a secretary, where her attention to detail, professionalism, and warm presence made her deeply valued by colleagues and friends. After immigrating to the United States, she continued to work hard and support her family, spending many years in food service as a waitress, a role in which she was known for her kindness, patience, and the genuine care she showed to every person she served.
In her free time, Juliet found happiness in the simple, meaningful activities that reflected her creativity and love of life. She enjoyed cooking, often preparing meals that reminded her of home and sharing them with the people she cared about. She loved playing online games on her cellphone, a small daily pleasure that brought her relaxation and fun. Juliet also had a passion for gardening, tending to her plants with the same patience and care she showed in all parts of her life. Whenever she had the chance, she embraced outdoor adventures, finding peace and joy in nature and in exploring the world around her.
She is survived by her husband, Sergio; her children: Jayvee and Irene Joy Dequito Arcelo; and her brothers: Bartolome P. and Bruno P. Dequito. She also leaves behind many beloved family members and friends in both the United States and the Philippines, all of whom carry memories of her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit. Her presence will be profoundly missed across the two places she called home.
