June Gile

June Gile, 90, of Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015, with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will also be at Trinity Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. prior to service. Memorials may be directed to the family, who will designated them to a cause close to Junes heart. June Marie Gile was born on June 25, 1925, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the daughter of Alfred and Idella (Crosser) Tysdale. June attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District. On June 2, 1945, June was united in marriage to Raymond L. Gile in Marshalltown. June and Raymond lived in Marshalltown their entire lives. She worked at Packaging Corporation of America for 14 years and then at Fisher Controls for 17 years before retiring. June was member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Family was very important to June. She cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting prayer shawls, coffee with her friends at Walmart and riding her motorcycle. June and her sister-in-law enjoyed cruising garage sales looking for treasures for her grandchildren. After retirement, Ray and June also enjoyed wintering in the South, where they made numerous lasting friendships. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Steven Ray (Mary) Gile of Marshalltown, Iowa; grandchildren, Alicia (David) Smith and Chad (Christina) Gile of Marshalltown, and her great-grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Brayden Smith, Tanner Smith, Raylee Gile and Ryder Gile. In death June rejoins her parents, Alfred and Idella Tysdale; husband, Raymond; and her brother, Arnold Tysdale.
