Justen Krantz

Justen Krantz passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2018 in Marshalltown, IA. Justen, age 49, was born on April 2, 1969 to Dennis and Linda (Huxford) Krantz in Iowa City, Iowa.    He recently moved to Marshalltown to be near his mother to assist and help her in any way he could.  He was a proud member of the Marshalltown Isaac Walton League and he and his beloved dog and faithful companion, Poopers, loved exploring the grounds and trails. Justen was soft-spoken and empathetic.   He never met a stranger. He was a kind soul that would help anyone in need.  He had a heart of gold and is gone too soon.  Justen is survived by his parents, Dennis (Cathy) Krantz, Boca Raton, FL, his mother Linda Krantz, Marshalltown, IA, an Aunt, Barbara (Larry) Schrum, Marshalltown, IA.  He is also survived by his cousins Jacob Schrum, Worcester, MA and Elizabeth Schrum, Marshalltown, IA.  Justen was preceded in death by his grandparents Jack and Lois Huxford and Jim and Shirlee Krantz.  Justen was particularly close to his great-grandparents, Conrad and Marie Hergenrader, who also preceded him in death.  Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 11:00am in the chapel at Memory Gardens in Iowa, City, IA.  In remembrance of Justen, his family suggests donations to Safe Haven Animal Shelter of Iowa County.
