K. Eugene Peak

K. Eugene Peak, 94, of Marshalltown, died Thursday, August 30th, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center while in care of the Iowa River Hospice. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Eugene and his family. Ph 844-1234. He was born June 3rd, 1913, the son of Catherine Weber and Earl Nelson Peak. He graduated from the Iowa State College in electrical engineering and later obtained his professional license. He worked for many years for his father at Marshall Electric and later opened his own business, Peak Electric. He married Elizabeth Harris on March 15th, 1939, and they made their home in Marshalltown. He is survived by two daughters: Jean (Roy) Karlson of Fayette, Iowa, Mary (Ted) Daly of Barataria, LA., and a son Don (Connie) Peak of Williamsburg, Iowa, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, son and his wife.
