Karen Bear

Karen Bear, 83, of Saratoga, AR passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1942 in Haverhill, IA to the late Edward and Helen (Neuroth) Kopel. Mrs. Bear was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Ashdown. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Kopel.Survivors include her loving husband of over 60 years, Gene Bear of Saratoga, AR, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Todd and Sonia Bear of El Paso, TX and Troy Bear of Texarkana, AR, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19th, at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Haverhill. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home beginning at noon Saturday to pay respects and process together to the cemetery.
