Karen Bown

Karen Bown, 53, of 514 South 4th Street, died Saturday morning, December 1st, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Services celebrating Karens life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at a later date. There will be no visitation. Born on May 27th, 1954, in Iowa City, she was the daughter of William and Donna (Katzer) Bown. She graduated and has resided in Marshalltown all of her life where she was employed at the IVH and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Left to mourn her loss are her son, Eric Ring, mother, Donna-with whom she resided, her siblings: Billy Bown, Donnie Bown, Janice Cullor, Larry Bown, Pam Pritchett, Terry Lippincott and Joe Bown, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her father, William.
