Karen Regina Ferrin

Karen Regina Ferrin, 65, of Marshalltown, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Boone, at her daughter’s home and under the care of Mary Greeley Hospice.

Karen Regina Tiger was born on June 28, 1957 in Killeen, Texas. She was the daughter of David and Christel Kuntze Tiger. Karen was united in marriage to Kenneth “Kenny” Ferrin on September 14, 2012 in Texas. She was a housewife, and enjoyed playing games on the computer, sitting by the pool to get some sun and boating on Lake Rathbun. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends over some cocktails.

Karen is survived by her children: Natalie (Antwon Jones) Hazen of Boone and Shane (Jessica Kippe) Perry of Marshalltown. Grandchildren: Jinub, Kianna and Janette. She is also survived by her sisters: Rita Tiger of Marshalltown and Shirley Kutzner of Marshalltown along with many cousins and friends.

Karen is preceded in death by her husband: Kenny; parents: David and Christel; sister: Jeanet Frimml; grandmother: Gerda Kuntze; nephew: Eric Frimml and brother-in-law: Dennis Kutzner.
