Karen (Mrs. Lee) Judge, 70, of rural Garwin, died early Wednesday morning, July 21, at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 23rd, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday. Ph 641-844-1234. Born on October 20th, 1939, in Blockton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Herbert and Ida (Frissell) Parrish. She graduated from the Marshalltown High School. On October 10th, 1958, she was united in marriage to Lee Judge in Marshalltown at her parents home. They farmed near Garwin all of their married lives. She was also employed at Fisher Controls. Karen was a member of the Moose Lodge and dearly loved playing bridge- proudly retaining the status of going a year without losing a match. She treasured her family, grandchildren and her great-granddaughter, quilting, gardening, camping at the Iowa State Fair and the lake, wintering in Florida and family gatherings where everyone was welcome. Her life revolved around her love of family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are Lee, her loving husband of 51 years, daughter Lorrie Damman of Montour and son Timothy (Jill) of Gainesville, FL., six grandchildren: Matthew (Amy) Damman of Liscomb, Michael (Alex) Damman, USMC, Abigail Judge of Gainesville, Adam Damman of Montour, Martha Judge of Gainesville, and Carsten Judge of Gainesville, her great-granddaughter Bailey Karen Damman and soon to be born Natilee Vera Dawn Damman, her dog Gracie and a host of friends. In death, Karen rejoined her parents, her son Christopher who died in infancy, god-mother Vera, and siblings Leona, Virginia, Ruby and Harold.
