Katherine Ann Karl, 73, of Marshalltown, passed away Wednesday evening, December 22, 2021, at Grandview Heights Rehab and Healthcare. To honor Kathy’s and her family’s wishes, cremation rites will be given and no funeral service will be planned. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with caring for Kathy and her family. Kathy was born February 7, 1948, in La Crosse, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Betty (Kemske) Karl. She moved to Marshalltown in 1961 with her family and Kathy graduated from the Lenihan High School. She had been employed at Marshalltown Manufacturing, the As You Like It boutique and most recently as a clerk at Walmart. Surviving are her siblings: Elizabeth (Steven) Parr, Amelia Mills, Peter (Jeanette) Karl, Andrew (Cynthia) Karl, Matthew (Todd Starich) Karl and Mary (Marcial) Cervantes and numerous nieces and nephews.
