Kathleen Faye Luse, 83, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Grandview Heights Nursing Home in Marshalltown. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family graveside service will be scheduled at a later time. Memorials may be directed towards the family. Kathleen Faye Ryner was born on April 17, 1930 to Lloyd and Dortha Puttman Ryner. On June 6, 1951, Kathleen was united in marriage to Harold Luse in Laurel, Iowa. Kathleen had previously worked as a telephone operator and at Hy Vee for fourteen years and most importantly was a homemaker taking care of her three sons. Kathleen also loved to go shopping. Left to cherish her memory is her children: Gene (Cindy) Luse of Kellogg, Randy Luse of Marshalltown and Billy Luse of Laurel. Grandchildren: Dena (Rod) Bailey of Marshalltown, Dan Luse of Marshalltown, Brian Luse of Iowa City, Jennifer (Shaun) Anderson of Haverhill and Mindy (Shane) Brown of Anamosa and six great grandchildren. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
