Kathleen May Yandell

Kathleen May Yandell, daughter of the late Arnold and Opal Frederickson, was born on May 11, 1922 in Marshalltown, Iowa, and died at Accura Care Center in Marshalltown, Iowa, on November 23, 2023.

Kay was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Marshalltown. She served in a number of positions in the Church, including song leader, Sunday School teacher, and board member. She received a Distinguished Service Award from the Church of the Nazarene. She was also a retired elementary school secretary and a lifelong resident of Marshalltown.

On April 9, 1945, she was united in marriage to Ray C. Yandell of Marshalltown. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ray C. Yandell, her brother, Mr. Arnold “Rick” Frederickson, and her daughter, Mrs. Raleen Cox of Olathe, Kansas.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Gayla Dunham of Casper, Wyoming, and three grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m.
