Kathleen Ann Zeuthen (Giannetto), 75, formally of Marshalltown passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Mercy Hospice House in Johnston surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown at 11:00 a.m. with a public visitation held from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Kathy was born in San Diego, California on April 14, 1943 to the proud parents of Nick and Helen (Brent) Giannetto. She attended Northern Arizona University and received a Master’s Degree of Education. She taught English as a second language for 16 years, teaching kindergarten through eighth grade. Before her teaching, she was a travel agent and owned Travel Agents International in Marshalltown for many years. She was a traveler spending time in Chicago, Phoenix, Marshalltown, and Ankeny while residing in New Orleans. She was always willing to accept any challege and was led by her gift of creativity. Her family was everything to her, even as her children grew up and made their own lives, she would always take time to visit and stay in touch with them. She touched many lives in her years and will be missed by her family and countless friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children Tom (Holly) Zeuthen of Ankeny, Iowa, and Eric (Lynn Ackerman) Zeuthen of Lisle, Illinois; grandchildren Drake, Logynn, and Evan Zeuthen, siblings Gloria (Dave) Hines of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and their children Julie, Mark, Shannon, Kristen; Nick (Dottie) Giannetto of Ankeny, Iowa, and her beloved dog Bailey who was considered a third child.   She is preceded in death by her parents Nick and Helen, and many aunts and uncles.
