Kathryn “Kathy” Morrison, age 77, of Albion, formerly of Toledo, passed away Saturday, July 30th, at the Iowa River Hospice Home with family at her side. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery north of Toledo. Born on August 2nd, 1944, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Leonard G. and Bernadine (Dixon) Mason. She graduated from Tama High School and later attended beauty school in Marshalltown. In 1965, she was united in marriage to Jerry Morrison. They were blessed with two children, Brad and Chris. Jerry passed away in 2004, and she met her “best friend”, Darrell Peshel. They made Albion their home. Kathryn enjoyed gardening, cats, garage sales, and time with family and friends. Surviving her is her son Brad (Ashley) Morrison of Mebane, NC and their children Reagan, Fiona and Annaliese; grandchildren- Samantha (Jason) Bogue of Tama, Michelle Morrison (Rodney Sizemore) of Steamboat Rock, Courtney (Tyler) Schulmeister of Whitten, Nichole (Jesse) Switzer of Marshalltown, Katlyn (Alex) Morgan of Gladbrook, Ashley Morrison (Tim Bell) of Grundy Center, Christian (Haileigh) Morrison of Dublin, TX, and Shannon Palmer; her daughters-in-law Kim Morrison and Tammy Morrison, numerous great-grandchildren and several other family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Jerry, son Christopher, brother Daryl and her best friend, Darrell.
