Kathy Allenstein, 59, of State Center, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, with her loving family by her side. Funeral services for Kathy will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Joan Swander officiating. Public visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until services begin. Memorial contributions may be directed in Kathy’s name to her family. Left to cherish Kathy’s memory is her mother: Denise Allenstein; six siblings, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
