Katheryn Westcott (Six), 66, passed away at the Iowa River Hospice House on July 13, 2016 with her loving family by her side. A celebration of her life will be held in August per her familys wishes. The family would like to express a great gratitude to the Iowa River Hospice House for the great care of Katheryn in the last days of her life. Katheryn Six was born on December 22, 1949, to the proud parents of James and Anna Mae (Vanderwaal) Six in California. She attended the West Marshall School System and graduated in 1967. She was employed by the Iowa Veterans Home as nurses aide for over five years. She loved helping the residents of the Veterans Home and volunteered her time as well helping with the residents. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and depending on who was watching with her a Kansas City fan as well. When she wasnt watching football she could be seen riding on motorcycles or being outside in general, or on her Facebook. Katheryn was a proud mother of five sons and many grandchildren. Her family was the driving force in her life. She loved spending time with her family and just living life to the fullest. Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Kevin, Jason, Shane, Brandon, and Tyler, grandchildren, Lance, Morgan, Lily, Violet and Briar Schaum, Chance Friedman, Lilly Zesch, Brennen Schaum, Slade Schaum, Zander Zesch, Ethan Zesch, Brandon Jr. Zesch, Liz, and Ava, her siblings Renee (Bob) Shultz of Brownwood, TX, Vicki (Duane) Jackson of Marshalltown, IA, and John (Jackie) Six of Marshalltown, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Anna, and brother, Jimmy.
