Keith E Aikin

Keith Eugene Aikin, 83 of Marshalltown died unexpectedly Saturday, September 28th, 2019 in the emergency room at Unity Point, Marshalltown Hospital.  According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. A memorial fund is being established. Born on August 29, 1936, Keith was the son of Ray and Edna (Testor) Aikin. He grew up in Winterset, IA and graduated from the Macksburg High School. On December 19, 1959, he was united in marriage to Barbara May Elliott in Collins, IA. Keith had been employed at the Packaging Corporation of America in Marshalltown for 42 years before retiring in 2001. In his leisure time, Keith enjoyed fishing, making furniture and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara; his children: Melody (Michael) Ferguson, Deanna (Lee) Krukow, Robert (Monica) Aikin, Troy Aikin & Jake at home, and Nancy Carmer; his sister, Margaret (Charles) Blair;; five grandchildren:: Katlyn Aikin, Micaiah and Noah Krukow, Jessica Cox and Adrianna Goken. In eternal life, Keith joins his parents, two sisters, Corrine Eivins & Florence Thomas and two brothers, Russell & Robert Aikin. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Keith and his family.
