Harrison Keith Millard, 99, of Garwin, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at MMSC. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Keith and his family. Phone 641-844-1234. Harrison Keith Millard was born on April 21, 1911, in Marshalltown. He was the son of Benjamin Harrison and E. Mae (Shollenberger) Millard. Keith graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1931 and attended trade school in Nashville, Tennessee. He was married to Mary Lois Barnum and they later divorced. He later married Wanda Grace Hartman and they were married 47 years. They lived in Laurel and then moved to Garwin. Wanda died in 1995. Keith was employed with Iowa Electric for 42 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Garwin Christian Church, UAW, and IBEW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, vacationing at Spirit Lake, and spending time at Union Grove Lake. In his last years he loved going for breakfast with his daughter Diana and taking rides. He prided himself that he was able to live in his own home until his death. Surviving Keith are his children Harrison Keith Millard II (Linda) of San Diego, CA, Diana (Jerry Wayne) Clark of Garwin, and Neal (Lisa) Millard of Columbus, Ohio; his 15 grandchildren Lisa Clark, Lori (Jack) Stansberry, Ben Millard, Jessica Millard, Tiffany Walker, Stevie Walker, Maddison Millard, Aaron Millard, Courtney Millard, Amber Millard, Kevin (Jill) Millard, Harrison Millard III (Liz), Marcia (Marvin) Janik, LuAnn (Torrey) Jordan, and Debbie Hartsaugh; his 27 great-grandchildren; his 14 great-great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law Mary Millard of Gladbrook; and many nieces, nephews, and loved friends. In death he rejoins his parents, his wife Wanda Grace, his son Rex Millard, his brother Ned Millard, his sister Jeanette Jones, and his great-grandson Gregory Shorty Millard.
