Kendall Johnson

Kendall Robert Johnson, 53 of Rhodes, Iowa passed away on June 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 15, 2013, at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be on Friday June 14, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. There will also be a visitation at the Grace Lutheran Church in DeWitt from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday June 16, 2013. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Kendall Johnson was born on June 30, 1959, in Mount Vernon, Iowa, to Richard and Violet Doddema Johnson. He graduated from DeWitt Central High School in 1977, and later attended Iowa State University to obtain his degree in Agricultural Business. On August 26, 1989, Kendall married Rachael Cakerice. He currently was employed with Menards in Ankeny. Kendall knew no strangers and had a very big heart; he would do anything for anybody. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and working with his boys. Kendall will be known for his smile and laughter, and for the love that he gave his family. He will truly be missed. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 23 years, Rachael, his father Richard. Sons: Ryan and Alan Johnson. Sisters: Michelle Reimler, Karen (Charlie) Hogan; and Diane (Lonny) Sievers; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kendall is preceded in death by his son Richey; mother, Violet; sister, Bobette Howe; and nephew, Blake Sievers.
