Kenneth Sires, 74, of Melbourne, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 in his home, surrounded by family.

Kenneth was born on January 25, 1951 in Tama, Iowa. He was adopted at two years of age by loving parents James and Eleanor (Brittain) Sires. After graduating from Marshalltown High School, he honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Kenneth and Victoria were united in marriage on September 16, 1978, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They lived in Marshalltown and Mount Vernon before settling down in Melbourne, where they have called home for the last 42 years. Kenneth was a “Jack of all trades” and skilled homebuilder. He was also a self-employed truck driver.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Victoria; two daughters: Jillisa (Shawn) Woods of Melbourne and Kellanie (Jacob) Johnston of Coon Rapids; and eight grandchildren: Andrew Woods, Kiarra Woods, Austin Woods, Alarie Woods, Owen Johnston, Adley Woods, Hallie Johnston and Cole Johnston.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Judy, Ed, Jim and Cindy.
