Kenneth "Wayne" Smith

Wayne Smith, 79, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.Wayne’s wishes were for cremation and no services at this time. Kenneth Wayne Smith was born in the state of Missouri on December 26, 1939; he was the son of Kenneth and Geraldine Maloney. Wayne attended school in the area of his birth. He was united in marriage to Judith Elaine Schmidtke Stewart on November 29, 1991, at the Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Wayne had worked and retired from Ritchie Industries in Conrad. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. Wayne enjoyed reading, gardening and grilling. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 26 years, Judith; sons Michael Smith of Famersburg, Iowa, and Douglas Smith of Iowa Falls; Judith’s children Glinda Stewart of Des Moines and Susannne Marie Stewart of Des Moines, grandchildren, Lucas Smith and Josh Keller. In death Wayne rejoins his parents, Kenneth and Geraldine.
